I've never described a place as Pure Magic before, but it really was. Brief review: Incredible! Magical! Do it. Save your money, and do it. And drink coffee. And love life! Detailed review: 1) Coffee tour $40/person - GREAT! Ulysses, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable with perfect English. We felt that we learned a lot not just about coffee in general but about the specific plantation, erosion prevention, water usage, plant and insect life, bird watching, etc. And finally, a cupping session left us (avid coffee geeks) even more well-informed and gave us an even more refined palate. Coffee and cookies to finish, delicious!! 2) Food - Delicious, good value. Prices are in USD so it was definitely our priciest of meals in Costa Rica, but really, it was tasty, and the view and general feel of the restaurant was just beautiful. Recommend: Fish tacos, Chip platter (which we took leftovers of for our drive the following day), and pancakes with coconut syrup. 3) Staff - so extrem...

This place is amazing. My wife and I started our trip to Costa Rica here as well as finished here. It is close to SJO and is just amazing beyond words. There is a reason National Geographic named it one of the most original destinations to stay. Do not hesitate, book the room. You will be glad you did. The Ranchero Master Suite was breath taking and the entire ranch beautiful. Shout out to Ulysses for the amazing coffee tour and to Pablo at the restaurant. They both made the stay extra special. We plan on visiting again.
